We are elected by the general assembly to mentor the EDS children and youth to develop EDS. We use our extensive leader and research experience from private and public sector.
We are immensely inspired by the EDS children and youth’s ability to endure challenges, their undying optimism and persistent work to create a more humane world together. We all have so much to learn from these young change agents!
In Bangladesh, there is a large gap between people of high social capital and vulnerable children, youth and their families. They rarely socialize. Vulnerable children and youth are often labelled troublemakers, bullied and told they have no value. We, on the contrary, see these children and youth as resources for our society, potential leaders and change agents.
So, when we, who have high social capital, become friends with the EDS children and youth, listen to them, acknowledge them as persons, leaders, change agents, entrepreneurs and teachers in EDS, they feel valued and motivated to continue their path to a better future.
Like friends, we are available whenever the EDS children and youth need us.
